Safety Alerts are not
reprimands. They are documents intended to identify potential
hazards and the actions taken to correct them. Corrective action
must be implemented immediately and reported via email or hard copy to
the Infection Control Department within 5 working days of
notice as this must be reported to the Safety Committee. The
Safety Alert is the report mechanism by which this is accomplished.
Please be as specific in your narrative as possible. Remember, your information is used to help improve the prevention and control of infections. The more details you provide, the better the action that can be taken.
Safety Alerts are confidential.
